Some comments are missing from my export
Why total counts can differ from what's shown on the post.
If our total is lower than the count shown on the post, one of these is usually the cause:
- The platform hides some comments (spam filters, deleted, hidden by creator).
- Comments posted while the export was running aren't included — re-export to capture them.
- Replies are counted separately from top-level comments — check both columns.
We pull every comment the platform's API returns. There is no public method to retrieve hidden or deleted comments.
